Many people that start out on a blogging journey get stuck because they think they need to have a perfect blog post. That is actually very common among bloggers, newbies or veterans. This happens mostly to people that are attempting to blog for business. If you write as a hobby, with no key words, no call to action and no real purpose than you're just keeping a digital diary. Often times being a perfectionist hurts you rather than benefit  you. When it comes to blogging, being a perfectionist may mean not getting things done, especially in a timely manner. When you put things off until you have come up with a perfect blog post you are delaying the results you want to have. The purpose of your blog should be to give value to your readers and produce results which is for them to take some sort of action that may include subscribing to your newsletter, opting in to some sort of an offer, leaving a comment or buying something from you. So before you come up with a call to action your duty is for YOU to take action without having everything perfect to write a perfect blog post. 

Just Write a Blog Post! Write About What?

Lets see. Now you took your business online. Now you're a blogger. You think to yourself, "what can I write about if I didn't produce any results yet in my niche?". Hmmmm, the question virtually everyone thinks about when just starting out. I'll keep it short and to the point. You had a life before you decided to become a blogger. Here are just a handful of ideas for you to start thinking about:

- In your niche/profession

- Your pass business/job

- Your family

- Tools and systems you've used/currently use

- Good and bad experiences with a home based business

- What you learned

- Personal growth and development

- vacation destination review

- Seminar/event/workshop review

- Business person, coach or speaker review

- Book reviews (this is a BIG one)

- Local business review

- Goals and aspirations

I think you get the point. This list can go on and on and on. Truth of the matter is there is no such thing as having a perfect blog post. Pick an idea to write about and just blog!

- Make sure it's informative and valuable in nature.

- Be yourself, write as you would speak

- Use keywords throughout your post.  

- Include links if necessary.

- Have a call to action.

- It's ok to be controvercial (it's actually great for popularity and traffic)

A couple of days ago I was walking with my younger daughter on the boardwalk and saw a family feeding seagulls. As soon as I saw that I remembered listening to a Jim Rohn audio training on Network Marketing, I must have listened to that audio about 20 times. Happy New Year my friends!!! I most definitely want to wish all my readers a healthy, happy, prosperous and fulfilling 2013. For me, personally, 2012 was a great year. My 2nd daughter was born, my Network Marketing business and Internet Marketing businesses had major breakthroughs, I finally launched my speaking and seminar company  and I started a new business in the traditional space that was profitable in it's 2nd month of operation. I'm extremely grateful and at the same time hungrier than ever. That is exactly why I'm looking forward to what 2013 will bring because a solid foundation has been laid down. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying to boast but I'm sharing that with you to let you know that I'm 1st appreciative of what I already have before I start asking for more. More importantly, regardless of what our 2012 turned out to be I will share with you what my blueprint business plan is for 2013 in regards to Online Marketing to create a solid 6 figure income so if you want you can copy it step by step or take pieces of it and apply it towards your own business plan.

Understanding The Changes & Improvements of 2012

Since 2012 was a major transitioning year in regards to understanding various income levels as an Online Marketer besides being a Network Marketer, one thing that really had a major impact on my business was getting paid 100% commission. Now, we all know that in order to get paid 100% commission you must create and sell your own products, at least that's what I thought until recently. It's actually not only possible but very probable to get paid 100% commission as an affiliate. You can see proof and exactly what I mean by watching this video. This is the exact system I've used to earn a substantial 100% commissionable income in 2012. Now, if you already have your own products and are getting paid 100% commission on them that is GREAT! Personally, I'm working on 4 new products of my own that should be completed in the next 90 days. The reason I still like using a 3rd party system that pays out 100% commission is because I can give that same opportunity to others who are not in a position to create their own products just yet for various reasons. With all that said, my focus in 2013 for Online Marketing will be 90% spent on production that pays 100% commission and 10% on the rest. 

Simple Business Plan for 2013

I will break down simple and easy steps on how I plan to double even triple my income from 2012 in 2013. Even if you haven't earned a dime last year and you will follow these steps to the detail I promise you will make money, generate a ton of leads and gain competitive advantage over those that will continue to struggle by doing exactly what they've done the year before only because they are not teachable and they think they know it all (meanwhile they are broke as hell and can barely pay for Internet access just to read blogs like this on how to make money, it's easier to watch than to actually DO).

1. Align yourself with a platform/system that pays out 100% commissions on the products you sell. I've covered this earlier, you can use the same exact system I use and get it going for as low as $25 to start HERE At the very least it will help you start your own blog and help you rank on the search engines fast based on your content without the technical ability to set any of that up. By the way, this is relevant to whether or not you're part of some MLM or not. This is for YOUR business not your MLM business. Of course, you can use it to help your primary MLM business with recruiting but it's not required.

Since I've already done this, now my goal is to create more sales that will generate 100% commissions by doing the following:

More Videos. Understanding that Video marketing may be your best free method of distributing content, creating followers and converting them into leads then sales can just be the best lesson you'll learn on this blog post. Videos do convert better than text does and I know that most people are not natural Hollywood stars but this just like pretty much anything else out there takes practice, getting used to and time. All successful marketers and leaders use Video Marketing. A lot of Online Marketing systems even market via landing pages that have videos on them. Question is why shouldn't you? Don't you deserve the success others are creating out of thin air via Video Marketing? Of course you do! Personally, I'm going through this YouTube Video Guide on how to get better at videos, rank my videos higher on the search engines and get more leads for my business using the techniques they teach in this guide. I have 2 successful YouTube channels already with over 220,000 views on my videos, with 1 video alone where it has over 105,000 views as of the day of this writing…and I'm still investing my time, energy and money to learn better and newest skills on how I can take my business to the next level.

3. Create more content for my blog and deliver more value to my readers. To be really honest, this is where I kind of dropped the ball last year and didn't produce as much content as I wanted to. The reality is, the more value you give, text or video or both, the more leads you will have. Value is sexy, value is attractive, value is intriguing and value sells! No other way to explain it. There are plenty of things to write about once you start thinking outside the box. Don't let your excuses of "not having enough content" keep you broke. Lack of knowledge is NOT an excuse for staying broke. Get resourceful and seek information, even seek mentors who can help you. If you don't already have your own blog then go ahead and get it, it's only $25 a month with the same system I mentioned earlier. It's fully built out, setup and highly ranked on the search engines, saving you LOTS of time (months to years of doing that yourself) and TONS of money.

4. Create 20 NEW niche landing pages for lead generation. When it comes to lead generation it's best when you actually target your audience. By targeting your audience you actually select a niche, whether it's an industry, a company name, etc. After you select your target audience it's always a wise idea, for better conversions, to drive that niche traffic to a customized landing page where as the leads read the content on the page it is as if the landing page is talking to them. I'm not a programmer and have no idea on how to build websites or even simple landing pages so I use OptimizePress and it does everything for me utilizing templates and all I have to do is fill them out. It comes with all the video tutorials that take you click-by-click on how to do that. These 20 new niche landing pages won't cost me anything since I paid for it once a while back and all of the pages I create are hosted under one hosting account along with my blog and about 15 other existing landing pages. I like it when things are simple.

5. Increase traffic with paid advertising. In 2012 I've collected on average 20 leads a day using free traffic resources like YouTube, Blogging and Facebook. What I've also done is play a little in the paid advertising space to see how it works out when it comes to leads and conversions. The results were great and FAST. So my goal is to increase my advertising budget by 5x to get 5x the leads. That doesn't mean that I will get 5x the amount of leads, it can be more and it can be less. That's the beauty of Marketing, it's testing to see what works and what doesn't. This doesn't mean you have to do the same but if you're in a position to do it then I suggest you supplement it on top of your free traffic. 6. Seek new mentors that are earning 3x to 5x more than I am in my niche. Although I get the privilege of mentoring others in several countries in the Online Marketing and Network Marketing space I always seek new mentors that I can learn from. There is always room for growth. When I got started in the Direct Sales industry back in 2004 I heard an expression that I started to live my life by "When you're green you're growing and when you're ripe you're rotting." My friends, stay green is what I recommend for you . The Online Marketing and Training System that pays 100% commission is a phenomenal platform for higher learning. Why higher learning? Because in that system only 5 and 6 figure monthly earners get to train the members. 7. Add more value via webinars and conference calls. Like I mentioned before, value means more sales. My personal goal is to conduct weekly webinars for my team members and my email subscribers and at least a biweekly conference call. This is another area where I dropped the ball last year and my goal is to improve my leadership skills and ability to provide more value and engage  my audience. 

Business Plan For 2013 in Action

You and I both understand for this business plan to become a reality two things need to happen; the reason WHY we have this plan and the DISCIPLINE to be consistent. You can't expect to submit 10 blog posts and 5 videos and expect immediate traffic and leads. You can't expect to have your customized landing page and automatically start having people opt in to it. You need to fully and thoroughly UNDERSTAND the Art of Marketing. Marketing is by far the best skill you can master if you want to be successful. It's more important than sales. You need to understand that Marketing is what gets the right person in front of the right information, sales is what happens when one person's belief is transferred to another.

Today more and more people turn to the Internet to earn more money, replace their previous income, or to simply create a walk away passive income. Making on the Internet today is easier than it has ever been before. Online Marketing is no longer for the "gurus" of the trade but now it's an easily attainable skill to the average Joe/Jane. As long as they are willing to learn and do what it takes (discipline) to create a lucrative income online. Nowadays virtually any task can be performed by a system, tool or worst case scenario be outsourced for pennies to someone overseas. To keep this post short and simple I won't get into what niches and industries to make money online with, that you can figure out on your own since you might have already your niche of choice. If you don't, there a lot to choose from and here are just some without going into great detail; Network Marketing, Blogging, Affiliate Marketing, Email Marketing, etc. Regardless of your niche and industry I will give you 3 important steps that MUST be done in order to create a long lasting, substantial and passive income  on the Internet. 

Basic Steps To Making More Money Online

1. Build Your Brand. Your brand is what will separate you from your competition. It's not about your MLM company, it's not about your affiliation with a parent company, it's about YOU, INC. If you're in MLM, than your competition is not only distributors from other MLM companies but more importantly your competition are 10s or 100s of thousands of other distributors from YOUR MLM company. So the question you should be asking yourself is why would someone want to join YOU or your TEAM? People join other people because they like them and trust them, they DO NOT join companies (this is often illustrated when a top leader leaves one MLM company to go to another and takes a large chunk of the company, team or downline with him/her, because they were loyal to the leader NOT the company. DO NOT get it wrong, the company is just a vehicle and the  leader is the safe driver. You can put that driver behind ANY vehicle and the passenger will get to the destination). Develop a highly intriguing USP (Unique Selling Proposition).  Your USP, often times, is the answer to the question posed by a prospect "What do you do?". If your USP doesn't intrigue or wow your prospect then you should change your USP. Your brand, ideally, should make the potential prospect go "hmmmm, how do you do that???" or "How can I benefit from what you do?". Regardless of the industry you're in, make your USP sounds sexy, appealing and welcoming. I've seen some bazaar branding for individuals, team and the whole marketing. Names like "International Marketing Guru", "Team Hustle and Grind", "Team No Sleep". Really??? Normal people do not want to not get any sleep to achieve success. Normal people when they see International Marketing Guru know that that individual is a self proclaimed guru…and "International"??? LOL. You get the point, lets move on to step 2.

2. Build Your List. When you just open up your own business or become and Independent Contractor (MLM, Real Estate, Mortgages, Various Sales gigs, etc) it's always a good idea to make a list of people you know (hopefully that know you well) so you can contact them about your new business and let them know about your new profession. Eventually, you will run out of people to talk to from that list and you will start relying on referrals…or even worse start buying expensive, washed up, dead beat leads that are a bunch of tire kickers. Referrals are great, but I don't want to wait and count on referral to build an empire. One of my mentors told me a long time ago "don't ever leave your financial success in your prospect's hands". So what's the solution? Build your own list. A list of people WANTING what you have so you don't have to chase your prospects and spend countless of hours doing 1 on 1s and 2 on 1s all over town spending your precious time AWAY from home when it's supposed to be a HOME Based Business. Get an email auto responder, there are free ones like MailChimp.com or you can get paid one like GetResponse.com, Aweber.com, iContact.com or ConstantContact.com. You usually get what you pay for so I recommend choosing a paid Auto Responder. Personally, I like using Aweber for it's simplicity, delivery rate and customer service.

The most effective way to generate leads (build a list) is by blogging. Some people think of blogging as keeping a diary. In a business world, blogging means delivering value to your readers. No one wants to know what you had for breakfast or how many times your cat littered that day.  Even many of the top celebrities today, big corporations, athletes and news channels have a blog as part of their online presence. Why? Because they understand the power of value based marketing. Relying on a static website that shows people what you do and what your company represents is a sterile, unemotional and selfish way to market to your audience in the 21st century. 3. Build a relationship with your list. Just like you would build a rapport and eventually a relationship with someone you met at a networking event or some party, you would need to build a relationship with your list of subscribers. Let them get to know you. Connect with them on Facebook. Invite them back to your most recent blog post. Connect on Skype if possible. Email them some updates on the industry relevant to what they subscribed to. Invite them to a webinar that can add more value to them. This all goes back to the notion of people do business with people they like and trust. Here is the thing you have to keep in mind, people will unsubscribe from your list…for various reasons. Just like people in your life that are no longer friends with you or you seldom see them unlike before. It is what it is and you shouldn't try to change that. It's a thing called life. Get on with it.

Making money online is really this simple. Will there be tools you will need to support your Online Marketing business? OF COURSE! What handy man or a business man in the traditional world do you know of without tools that help him run the business? But the concept is simple. Just establish a budget to run the business. Find your niche market and give them what they want…not what you think they need.
