“How do I create a great blog?” If this is your question of the day than you came to the right place. You see, since I’ve entered the world of “blogging” and “online marketing” I have researched dozens of Internet Marketers and studied their methods of writing magical blogs. From reviewing dozens and dozens of sites, talking to Internet Marketers over the phone and evaluating their work I have come to a conclusion to pick top 3 role models and do what they do.
What is a great blog? Obviously you need to have a magical blog before you even start thinking about driving traffic to it. A great blog should have GREAT content. Meaning, it has to be on purpose, directional, thought provoking and it should provide some links. Links could be external and/or internal. All of these things will increase the chances of your blog being Search Engine Friendly!
So here are some specific points:
- Use a question in the title. (How do I…?) This helps people searching for answers
- Start with a story; real or imaginary. This will help draw the reader in to your post
- Restate the problem or question
- Use a short, bulleted list of solutions or steps to the solution
- Explain the solution and steps to implement it.
- Give a resource that can help them get bigger, faster, better results
- Add an internal link to another page in your blog
- Add an external link to another relevant site
When you follow these steps you will be in the top 5% of bloggers. You will have more visitors, more subscribers and more importantly more RETURNING visitors. Google and other search engines love blogs that follow this format. It’s all about content.
When you provide your readers real content that’s when you have returning visitors, because they know they can always count on your ability to be truthful and helpful. Go ahead, give it a try, write your Great Blog and let us know where to find it.
To your ultimate success
